As a Turnitin administrator, you may need to audit your account to see which classes are currently in use. While there isn't a "Classes" tab in the admin dashboard, you can easily generate this data by exporting and filtering your Instructor list.
Follow the steps below to download and sort your class data.
Step 1: Export the Instructor List
Log in to your Turnitin administrator account
Navigate to Users, then select Instructors
Click the Download button to export a CSV/Excel file of your instructor and class data
Step 2: Filter for Active Classes
Once you have downloaded the file, open it in your preferred spreadsheet application (e.g., Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets).
Locate the column titled Class status
Highlight the header row and apply a filter
Click the filter icon in the Class status column, then select Active only
The spreadsheet will now display all currently active classes along with the associated instructor's information.
Understanding "Quick Submit" Classes
While reviewing your filtered list, you may notice several entries titled Quick Submit.
Quick Submit classes are system-generated and will always appear as "Active" in your list.
These classes are used by instructors to check individual papers outside of a standard class environment; therefore, they will never contain enrolled students.
For more details on how this feature works, please refer to our Quick Submit Guide.
Tip: If you need to perform this audit regularly, we recommend saving your filtered spreadsheet as a new file to maintain a historical record of class activity at your institution.
