If students cannot view their Turnitin Similarity Reports, it is likely due to a restriction in the assignment settings.
The steps to resolve this depend on whether you are using the Classic Standard assignment or the New Standard assignment experience. Please select the relevant tab below for guidance.
⚙️ Where to find these settings: Open your assignment settings and review the following options under Optional settings.
If this setting is disabled, you must turn it on to ensure reports are generated for all future submissions.
Note: Changing this setting will not retroactively generate reports for past submissions. Please raise a support ticket so our team can manually generate those for you.
If this setting is disabled, you must turn it on and save your changes. Once updated, the reports will immediately become visible to your students.
If your assignment is set to generate reports On due date, students will not be able to see their reports until the assignment deadline has passed.
To allow students to view their reports earlier, open the Optional settings. Under Generate Similarity Reports for student submissions, select either Immediately first report is final or Immediately (can overwrite reports until due date) from the dropdown menu.

If this setting is disabled, you must turn it on and save your changes. Once updated, the reports will immediately become visible to your students.

To grant earlier access, change the Generate report option to At time of submission and save your settings.
Once saved, you may need to click the Refresh Reports button (located in the top left of the Submission list view) to prompt Turnitin to generate the reports.
