The message "Source details are no longer available" appears when a matched source has been removed from Turnitin's content database. This typically happens when:
- Web content that was originally matched has been removed from the internet.
- A student paper or publication has been removed from the Turnitin database and is no longer searchable.
How to fix this issue
To clear the removed source and update your Similarity score, you must generate a new Similarity Report:
- Classic view: Follow the step-by-step instructions in our guide on generating a new Similarity Report for an existing submission.
- Enhanced Similarity Report: You will need to resubmit the paper to generate a fresh report.
Note: Generating a new report takes approximately 5 minutes. Once ready, the new Similarity Report will automatically overwrite the previous one.
