How can I restore a paper I removed from an assignment so that I can view it in the assignment inbox?

This article only applies to Classic Standard Assignments. If you are using the New Standard Assignment experience (guidance here), papers can only be permanently deleted, so this process is not applicable.

If you have removed a student paper from the assignment inbox in one of your classes, Turnitin Technical Support may be able to restore it. Please note that papers do not need to be restored in order to be permanently deleted, though, as your Turnitin administrator is able to delete papers that have been removed from the inbox. They also have the option to download the paper and its Similarity Report (see further guidance here).

The Technical Support team will only restore papers that the instructor needs access to in their assignment inbox, and not those that you are planning to permanently delete. 

If you would still like the paper to be restored, please raise a support ticket, confirming why you would like the paper to be restored. Provide the email address of the student who submitted the paper and another Paper ID from the same assignment so that the Technical Support team can locate the correct paper to restore.

Note: Papers that have been permanently deleted cannot be recovered.
