This error occurs when the Feedback release date (post date) in the Turnitin assignment settings is set before the start date of the assignment in the assignment settings. This may occur when the course has been copied from another.
To resolve this issue:
- Access the assignment settings and remove all assignment dates, then save.
- Next, access the Turnitin assignment settings and change the Feedback release date (Turnitin post date) to the correct date required and save.
- Access the assignment settings again and enter the correct Available from (start date) and Due date for the assignment and save. These dates will copy over automatically into the Turnitin assignment settings.
Note: Although this error is more common when using Canvas via the Turnitin LTI integration, this can occur when creating Turnitin LTI assignments using other Learning Management Systems.
