Permanently deleting a submission ensures that the file is completely removed from our database and can no longer be used as a source for future Similarity matches. Depending on your role at your institution, choose the appropriate option below to review the specific deletion steps:
As a Turnitin account administrator, you can permanently delete a submission from our database so that it can no longer be used as a searchable source.
To permanently delete a submission from the repository that it has been submitted to, please follow this guide.
Instructors using Turnitin Originality, Turnitin Similarity, or SimCheck can also delete papers.

Note: Once the deletion process is complete, the submission is completely removed from Turnitin. It can never be recovered by anyone, including Turnitin Technical Support, for any reason.
