For institutions utilizing Turnitin SimCheck, Turnitin Similarity, or Turnitin Originality, account administrators have the ability to permanently delete any user profile associated with their institutional account.

Information for account administrators
Account administrators can initiate the removal of any user profile directly from the administrator dashboard. Before proceeding, please review the critical details below:
- Data deletion: Deleting a user account completely removes all data linked to that profile, including all generated Similarity Reports.
- Processing time: Once initiated, the deletion process can take up to 24 hours to fully process and cannot be undone.
Information for instructors and students
Turnitin Technical Support cannot delete individual user accounts for security and data privacy reasons.
If you would like your user account and its history to be permanently erased from the system, please contact your institution's Turnitin account administrator to submit a formal deletion request.
Note: The account deletion process is permanent. Once the deletion begins, all associated user history and report data are completely purged and cannot be undone or recovered under any circumstances.
