Configuring multiple Canvas Plagiarism Framework (CPF) integrations in Canvas

If your institution needs to configure multiple Canvas Plagiarism Framework (CPF) integrations within the same Canvas environment, you can do so by configuring each integration within a separate Canvas sub-account and connecting it to a corresponding Turnitin sub-account.

A CPF integration cannot be configured more than once within the same Canvas account. Each additional CPF integration requires its own Canvas sub-account and Turnitin sub-account.

There is no limit to the number of CPF integrations you can configure, provided that each integration is configured within its own Canvas sub-account and connected to its own Turnitin sub-account.

Step 1: Create a Canvas sub-account

The Canvas administrator must first create a new sub-account within your existing Canvas environment.

For any queries on this step, please refer to Canvas support. Instructions are also available on the Instructure Community website: How do I create a sub-account?

Step 2: Create a Turnitin sub-account

Once step 1 has been completed, the Turnitin account administrator needs to create a sub-account within Turnitin directly.

Step 3: Configure the additional CPF integration

After creating both sub-accounts, the new CPF integration can be configured from the new Canvas sub-account, ensuring that the newly created Turnitin sub-account is selected during the configuration process.

Full step-by-step instructions, including how to create a Turnitin sub-account, can be found in our Help Guide: Configuring Feedback Studio in Canvas Plagiarism Framework.
