If you cannot see your corresponding class, assignment, or student submissions when logging directly into the Turnitin website, the reason depends on how your institution integrates with Turnitin and whether your institution allows instructor access to the website. Please review the following to see which one applies to your situation:
1: You are using the New Standard Assignment (LTI 1.3)
If your institution uses the New Standard Assignment via the LTI 1.3 integration, your data is intentionally contained within your Learning Management System (LMS) like Canvas, Blackboard, or Moodle.
- Where to find your work: You can only view and manage your classes, assignments, and submissions directly within your LMS.
- Note: It is completely normal and expected that these will not appear on the external Turnitin website.

2: You are using an older or different integration
If you are not using the LTI 1.3 New Standard Assignment, you just need to trigger a quick sync between your LMS and Turnitin. Follow these steps:
- Log into your LMS (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle) and go to your specific course.
- Launch Turnitin from your course by interacting with any Turnitin assignment (for example, open a student's Similarity Report or view the assignment settings).
Once you click into an assignment from your LMS, the class will automatically sync and appear in your instructor view the next time you log into the Turnitin website.
3: Your institution has restricted instructor access to the Turnitin website
If an institution wishes to have instructors use Turnitin through the LMS only, the option to access Turnitin through the website may be restricted. If you have any questions about this, please contact your Turnitin administrator.
