When a Moodle course has already reached its end date, you may see the following error when trying to add or edit a Turnitin assignment:
date_end must be after the start date
This happens because Turnitin classes are synced with Moodle courses. Once the Moodle course end date has passed, the related Turnitin class is automatically closed, and no new assignments can be created or edited.
To resolve the error and create or edit a Turnitin assignment in this course:
- Edit the course end date in Moodle, setting it to a date in the future
- Save your changes
- Retry creating or editing the Turnitin assignment
